When will payment be taken?

Sparky uses a secure hold-then-capture payment system to protect both customers and electricians. When you approve a job, we place an authorization hold on your card for the quoted amount. This means the funds are reserved but not yet charged. The hold ensures the electrician that payment is secured before they travel to your location. The actual charge only happens after the electrician confirms the work is complete and you've accredited you're satisfied with the results. This dual confirmation system protects you from being charged for incomplete or unsatisfactory work. If there's any dispute, the held funds remain in your account until the issue is resolved. The capture typically processes within 24 hours of job completion, and you'll receive a receipt via email. This approach is similar to how hotels authorize your card—securing funds without charging until services are delivered.
