How It Works
Ask Anything About Electrical Work
Open the Sparky app and start chatting. Ask questions like 'Do I need Part P sign-off for a new consumer unit?' or 'What certificate should I get after a rewire?' or 'Is adding a socket in a bathroom notifiable work?'
AI Draws on 14 Knowledge Domains
Sparky's AI is trained on 14 specialist UK electrical domains: Part P Building Regulations, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), NICEIC standards, NAPIT standards, domestic electrical safety, commercial electrical regulations, EV charging regulations (OLEV), fire safety regulations, emergency lighting regulations, Building Control procedures, electrical testing and inspection, energy efficiency regulations, smart home installation standards, and renewable energy electrical standards.
Get Clear, Practical Answers
Sparky explains complex regulations in plain language. No jargon-heavy PDFs to wade through — just clear answers about what applies to your situation, what certificates you need, and what to expect.
Understand What Accreditations to Look For
Not sure if you need an NICEIC-registered electrician or a NAPIT member? Sparky explains which accreditations matter for your specific job and why, helping you make informed decisions.

Under the Hood
The AI Assistant is powered by Gemini 3 Flash via OpenRouter, running through the Convex agent framework (`@convex-dev/agent`). The model has been configured with comprehensive system prompts covering 14 UK electrical knowledge domains: Part P Building Regulations, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), NICEIC standards, NAPIT standards, domestic electrical safety, commercial electrical regulations, EV charging regulations (OLEV/OZEV), fire safety regulations, emergency lighting regulations, Building Control procedures, electrical testing and inspection standards, energy efficiency regulations, smart home installation standards, and renewable energy electrical standards. Customer chat messages are processed in real time via Convex subscriptions, with the AI generating contextually relevant responses that reference specific regulations and standards. The conversation history is maintained in Convex, enabling the AI to build on previous questions and seamlessly transition from informational queries to job qualification when the customer is ready to book. The same AI thread that answers regulatory questions can be used to describe the job, creating a smooth experience from inquiry to booking.
