What if I need to cancel?

Life happens, and sometimes you need to cancel an accepted job. If this occurs, contact Sparky support immediately through the app or by replying to our SMS notification. The sooner you let us know, the better. We'll notify the customer right away and search for a replacement electrician in your area. If you cancel before the customer's payment is authorized (very early in the process), there's typically no penalty. However, frequent cancellations or last-minute cancellations after you've been dispatched can negatively impact your reliability score and may result in fewer job offers in the future. We understand that emergencies happen—perhaps your current job runs long, your vehicle breaks down, or you have a family emergency. In genuine emergency situations, let us know the reason and we'll note it on your account. If you know in advance that you'll be unavailable (vacation, fully booked day, etc.), update your availability in your profile to prevent receiving calls. This is better than accepting and canceling later. Building a reputation for reliability helps you get more consistent, higher-value job offers through the platform.
